About Our Movable Pasture Fence Kits:
Aside from portable paddock/corral kits, these are as simple as it gets. To maximize mobility and provide good shocking power they come with a 1.4-joule solar powered charger. These kits are a cinch to set up and remove, consisting mostly of 2 strands of half-inch polytape mounted on step-in posts (one every 25 feet). The step-in posts are special, being robust as such posts go, having stirrup bases for ease of insertion, and being 6 feet long, which means that one still has a 5-foot fence after the posts are in the ground. Use these kits, which come in lengths of 250, 500, and1,000 feet, to define pastures, reduce undergrazing or overgrazing, keep horses separate, make horse-catching easier, or to keep horses away from natural or man-made hazards.
STRENGTHS: Affordable, easily movable, versatile, and suitable for use where the ground is dry or frozen. These fences feature sturdy step-in posts (product 09-106) that can carry a wide range of conductors at many different heights.
WEAKNESSES: Not intended for use with horses that may be bent on escape in places where no permanent back-up fences are in place.
