Splicers/Joiners for 0.75" to 1.5" Polytape

Product 08-01 is a splicing buckle for polytape up to 1.5 inches wide. Product 08-19 is a splicing buckle for polytape up to 1 inch wide. Product 18-19 is a tape clip that can be used with a splicing buckle or other tensioner/joiner to keep wide tape from flapping loose and possibly grounding out.

Splicers

Splicers, Joiners, and Crimps for 0.5” Polytape

Product 05-06 is a flat plate that serves as a joiner for half-inch polytape (as in the upper middle photo above). Also, as the right-hand photo shows, it can slip into a suitable pin-lock insulator to provide an anchoring and tensioning point for either one or two half-inch polytapes. Product 08-21 is a splicing buckle for half-inch polytape. And product 08-40 is a crimp for joining half-inch polytape. The crimp can be fastened with an ordinary pair of pliers, but the join is relatively weak, better suited to making electrical connections than to making ties involving significant sideways stress.

Clamps for Polywire and Polywire

Clamps and Crimps for Polywire, Polyrope, and Polybraid

Product 08-06A is for joining and manually tightening standard (quarter-inch) polyrope and polybraid. Product 08-06B is for strongly joining polyrope and polybraid up to 3/8 of an inch in diameter. Product 08-12B is a clamp for strongly joining polywire or for weakly joining quarter-inch polyrope or polybraid. Crimps (products 08-38 and 08-39) may be used for joining polywire or polyrope/braid with an ordinary pliers (no special tool is needed). However, the joint is weaker than that provided by the other products listed here, so we recommend crimps mostly for providing electrical connections rather than joints that will be subjected to any significant sideways stress.
