Line Insulators

Line Insulators, Top’Rs, for Wood Posts and Polytape up to 1.5"

Designed for T-posts, these insulators can also be nailed on top of wood posts by placing the point of the nail on the center of the insulator and driving the nail straight down and into the wood post. The insulators will take all polytapes up to 1.5 inches wide as well as wire, polywire, and polyrope. They offer an important advantage to fence-builders by allowing one to string a conductor along the very top of a planned or existing fence. Nails not included. Available in white, black, and yellow.

Corner or End Post Insulators

Corner or End Post Insulators/Tensioners for Wood/Vinyl Posts and Polytape

The insulators below are for ending a run of tape, passing the tape around a corner, or starting another separate run of tape moving out at some angle from the first, as in the case where one starts a new line of fencing at 90 degrees to an existing fence line. All these insulators have what amount to splicing buckles on them, so that one does not need to use a separate splicing buckle in order to terminate a tape, though it may be handy to have some tape clips (product 08-20) on hand to tidy up loose ends. Basically, these insulators are for wood posts or wood posts covered with vinyl sleeves. They can also be attached to stand alone vinyl posts with wood post screws (product 10-03), but in this latter case they cannot be counted on to deal with substantial stress. For those wishing to terminate half-inch polytape or take it around corners, Dare offers a good option. Product 05-06, a small metal plate with strategic holes in it, can be clipped into a pinlock insulator (such as product 07-62 or 07-63) to produce a serviceable end insulator, corner insulator, or gate anchor for half-inch polytape.
