Switches
It’s often convenient to be able to turn off one section of an electric fence, especially for maintenance purposes and especially if the fence is long enough to make reaching the main shutoff point a bother. A single-throw cut-off switch (product 06-12) can achieve this purpose. Beyond that, it is sometimes desireable to transform your fence (if it has multiple runs of conductors) from having all runs actively charged to having every other run grounded. You can do this with a single double-throw switch (product 06-13) if you connect the switch's middle terminal to the fence, one of the outer terminals to the charger's positive terminal, and the remaining outer terminal to the charger's negative (ground) terminal.
